Este extrem de rezistenta, maca putand rezista la altitudini mari si la temperaturi foarte joase, conditii in care putine plante pot supravietui. Aceasta este planta cultivata la cea mai mare altitudine din lume, crescand si la 4100 de metri inaltime. Radacina depoziteaza o multime de nutrienti, iar atunci cand este scoasa din pamant, vine intr-o varietate mare de culori. Culorile radacinii variaza de la galben crem sau roz deschis, pana la mov sau negru. Radacina de maca poate fi comparata ca si aspect cu o ridiche mai mare, iar gustul ei este picant, dulce si cu o aroma asemanatoare melasei.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"has-text-align-center has-sitka-white-color has-text-color has-background has-medium-font-size wp-block-heading\" style=\"background-color:#9f755e\">Compozitie maca \u2013 vitamine si minerale<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-sitka-black-color has-text-color\">Maca este o sursa de tiamina (B1), riboflavina (B2), vitamina B6, calciu si fier care contribuie la mentinerea energiei metabolismului. Contine, de asemenea, zinc care ajuta la fertilitate si reproducere, precum si la mentinerea unui nivel normal de testosteron in sange.
